With smiling faces, faces of my families are one of the lovely things that I love to see. Loving those pictures, I therefore chose small framed photo for my artifact analysis. Most of families, including our family, have their own framed photo, and it can be meaningful for them as well. On the other hand, framed photo is really special for our family.
When our parents got divorced in 2003, and I actually did not have opportunities to see my mom, the only way I could see my whole family was through pictures in the frame. When I see pictures, I can visualize our whole family in happy and smily faces. It can be harsh to live without my mom and only live with dad, which is very unusual compared to many other families, but this small and somewhat banal framed photo of family can be panacea for me.
This is not the only function that the framed photo can give. Joyous and adventurous experiences that I had with my dad were one of my best resources that I have, and this is the reason why the most important artifact that I have is small-framed photo of my dad and me. There are a lot of times that I can forget my dad’s presence in my heart, and I can forget many memories and lessons that I had with my dad. And this small artifact that I have can make me to recall the time with my dad. When I see the picture with my dad, I always also imagine my dad’s smiling face and his life lessons as well. This small and banal framed photo can be sometimes nothing for some people, but, for me, it is the most important “legacy” that I have.
Not pencils, not books, not computer games like League of legends, not cell phones that I have, the framed photo can only give the memory and times that I had with my family, and the faces of family in the photo still touch my heart.
